News: April 5, 2026.

Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes our busiest time of year. We are happy to share that a new veterinarian, Dr. Sylvie Becker, will be joining our team this summer! She will be accompanying us on calls while she gets to know the area and our clients. In the meantime, Dr. Harness remains on maternity leave, so our spring scheduling requires a bit of extra planning.

To help us manage the spring rush, we are asking clients to book routine dental procedures in June or later, if at all possible. Urgent dentals will still be done as needed! Dr. Gilson will be working on Saturdays for the next few months to help us get through everything. These days will fill up quickly, so please book ahead. We appreciate your patience as we handle our regular calls and also try to work in new foals, urgent calls and of course emergencies. Thank you!

We are doing our very best to get your horses seen in a timely way, but with multiple urgent or emergency calls each day, we are stretched very thin. We really appreciate your kindness to our staff, and your patience during this time.

At this point, we are UNABLE to see NON-CLIENTS on an emergency basis. We do have a waiting list for new clients (ie. new locations), with the following exceptions:

  1. If you are in a boarding stable that we currently attend, please call and register and you can become a client.
  2. If you were a client of Dr. John Salloway (recently retired), please contact us.
  3. If you are keeping your primary care veterinarian but need specialized care for advanced lameness (xray, ultrasound, chiropractic or acupuncture), or reproductive work/foaling, or dentistry, please contact us.

You are considered a current, active client if you’ve had a horse seen by our veterinarians within the last 2 years. Even if your horse does not get vaccines, please call for a checkup to remain active in our system. A regular physical exam and dental checkup is important for horses of all ages! Please call or email if you have any questions.
